We are a student support agency that focuses on helping students reach their full potential.
We are currently recruiting for in‑person Speech Therapists in a school setting. We have positions in all 5 boroughs and offer flexible hours and both part‑time and full‑time roles; we are particularly looking to fill a position in Fresh Meadows, Queens. That position is 2–3 full days per week – Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
OverviewThrive Center is seeking motivated and compassionate Speech and Language Therapists and Speech and Language Clinical Fellows to join our dynamic team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or new clinicians to gain hands‑on experience working with school‑aged children in a supportive, school environment. Under the mentorship of experienced speech‑language pathologists, the Clinical Fellow will assist in providing speech and language services to students, including assessment, treatment, and intervention for a variety of communication disorders.

- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students with speech, language, or communication disorders, including articulation, fluency, voice, and language development.
- Provide direct therapy services to students individually and in small groups, targeting specific communication goals.
- Collaborate with teachers, agency, and other school personnel to ensure effective communication strategies and accommodations for students in the classroom.
- Document and track student progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to support individual learning needs.
- Provide push‑in support when necessary to enhance communication and language skills for students.
- Support students in developing social communication and pragmatic language skills for success in the school environment.
- Engage in professional development opportunities and stay current with best practices in speech‑language pathology.
- Other tasks as necessary.
- Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Strong interest in working with children and adolescents in a school setting.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Knowledge of child development, language acquisition, and communication disorders.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
- Previous experience or internship in a school‑based speech‑language pathology setting is preferred but not necessary.
- Familiarity with common educational accommodations and IEP (Individualized Education Plan) processes.
- Knowledge of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices and strategies.
- Experience with diverse student populations and special needs.
