Join us at NYU Langone Health as an Ophthalmic Technician (FGP) in Manhattan, Multispecialty.
Position SummaryTests and measures eye function to assist Ophthalmologists in diagnosing and treating eye disorders and diseases. Performs slit lamp examinations, measures intraocular pressure, visual acuity, visual field testing, axial length measurements, and other tests as requested.
Job Responsibilities- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Handles all patient correspondence including disability forms, patient education, and surgical consent forms.
- Conducts slit lamp examinations.
- Completes medical history, lensometry, auto‑refract test, Pam test, and glare test.
- Performs all aspects of visual acuity testing and visual field testing.
High School Diploma or equivalent. Five (5) or more years of experience as an Ophthalmic Technician in a retina practice preferred. Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) from a Joint Commission for Allied Health Personnel (JCAHPO) approved institutional course preferred or working toward obtaining certification.
Preferred QualificationsPreferable 5+ years experience in Retina Practice. Certified Ophthalmic Assistant.

SalarySalary range for this role: $51,441.00 – $60,000.00 annually. Actual salaries depend on experience, specialty, education, and hospital needs.
