Exciting Opportunity at MSK: We are seeking a Pharmacist to join the K10 Pharmacy team as an Evening Clinical Coordinator. The Koch Center is a multi-service outpatient cancer center that also houses an Inpatient unit, an Endoscopy Suite, and an Interventional Radiology unit located on 530 East 74th Street in Manhattan.

Role Overview
  • Provide support for pharmacy operations as needed
  • Assist in the initiation, planning, and implementation of new projects, programs, or improvements in workflows
  • Have a good understanding of the Pharmacy operations at the Koch Center
  • Have a good understanding of and will support Investigational related activities at the Koch Center
  • Assist in the training and onboarding of new staff members
  • Assist in the dispensation of take home prescriptions as per MSKCC policy and state regulations
  • Cross cover other coordinators responsibilities as needed
Key Qualifications
  • Valid NY Pharmacist license
  • Pharm.

    D or equivalent experience
  • Prior hospital pharmacy, chemotherapy, and research experience strongly preferred
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to develop a good understanding of pharmacy systems
Core Skills
  • Highly motivated and able to multi-task, and work well with others in a demanding environment
  • Able to adopt a culture centered around patient safety and cleanroom sterility (USP 797 & USP 800)
  • Able to make sound judgements even with incomplete information
  • Meticulous and systematic in record keeping and inventory management
  • Able to suggest changes to workflow to improve patient care
  • Someone with strong sense of ownership and willingness to learn in an empowering environment
  • Someone with a substantial understanding of computer and pharmacy systems
  • Someone with a supportive attitude towards others’ beliefs and ideas
Additional Information
  • Primarily Evening Shift: Monday to Friday;
    Flex between 11am-11pm; may include weekend and holiday coverage (Subject to change based on the need of the department)
