About the Role
We are seeking a Project Coordinator to support avian influenza and novel influenza investigations in NYC. The role serves as primary support for epidemiologic investigations, protocol development, and data summary.
Responsibilities- Oversee contact investigations related to avian influenza detections in animals.
- Develop and maintain protocols and training materials for contact tracers and BCD staff.
- Conduct training sessions for interns and rapid response teams.
- Analyze surveillance data, identify clusters, and prepare summaries.
- Participate in outbreak investigations and special epidemiology projects.
- Collaborate with outreach staff on initiatives related to avian influenza and respiratory diseases.
- Prepare and maintain presentations for internal and external audiences.
- Support animal disease investigations and address cultural differences and health inequities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Master’s degree in a relevant field and two years of full‑time research experience, or equivalent education/experience.
- Experience in epidemiology, data management, and analysis.
- Ability to work collaboratively across units.
