Project Coordinator at Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene, Inc.

Job Title: Project Coordinator

Grade: 20

Salary: $71,613 – $82,189

We are seeking a Research Project Coordinator for the Columbia University Department of Psychiatry’s Division on Substance Use Disorders, working in the Opioid Laboratory on NIDA‑funded clinical trials focused on opioid use disorder and overdose.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Participate in and complete research projects, including protocol development.
  • Coordinate IRB submissions.
  • Lead project meetings.
  • Manage study oversight and project documentation.
  • Contribute to development of data collection tools and statistical analysis plans.
  • Provide support for scientific issues that may arise during study execution.
  • Train and supervise research assistants.
  • Work closely with biostatisticians to plan analyses of clinical data.
  • Present and publish findings in high‑impact journals.
  • Work evening and weekend hours as occasionally required.
Minimum Qualifications
  • PhD in a medical science or mental health field.
  • At least three years of experience conducting preclinical studies of opioid effects.
  • One to three years of experience on large federal‑grant or industry‑sponsored studies.
