CT Tech/X-Ray Tech- PD
Position DescriptionPerforms radiographic exams for patients of all age groups.
Required QualificationsAssociate's degree or completed hospital based program in Radiology required. Graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology preferred. American Registry Radiologic Technologist ( ARRT ) in CT license required. New York State Department of Health Diagnostic Radiographic Technologist License mandatory. Will consider a non-ARRT-CT candidate; however, candidate must take and pass ARRT CT exam within six (6) months of hire.
Minimum three (3) years' experience specializing in Computed Tomography ( CT ) Technology and cross-section anatomy.
Five (5) years’ experience specializing in CT preferred.
Physical DemandsHeavy lifting and bending. Long periods of standing. Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to see and read well. Ability to hear, listen and follow instructions. Sufficient mobility and dexterity of both arms or mechanical substitutes to operate a stretcher, move patients and other company equipment.

This function/position may be designated as “essential.” This means that when the Hospital is faced with an institutional emergency, employees in such positions may be required to remain at their work location or to report to work to protect, recover, and continue operations at Stony Brook Medicine, Stony Brook Southampton Hospital and related facilities.
Required Pre-employment Screening and Requirements- Successfully complete pre-employment physical examination and obtain medical clearance from Stony Brook Southampton's Employee Health Services*.
- Successfully complete a 4-panel drug screen*.
- Meet Regulatory Requirements for pre-employment screenings.
- Provide a copy of any required New York State license(s)/certificate(s).
Failure to comply with any of the above requirements could result in a delayed start date and/or revocation of the employment offer.
* The Human Resources department will be responsible for any fee incurred for examination.
