SummaryThe Activities Coordinator plans and implements workshops, events and trip activities.

Essential Functions:
- Develop ideas for in-house art, craft, cultural, recreational workshops
- Help recruit suitable qualified independent contractors as workshop leaders
- Assist with supervising vendors
- Orient workshop leaders, schedule workshops and supervise their implementation
- Recruit residents interested in participating in various workshops and trips with approval of unit leaders.
- Develop and implement ideas and plans for organized cultural/recreational trips
- Assist other direct care staff in planning safe and effective supervision of trips and workshops, maximizing educational/therapeutic value of activities
- SYEP (Summer Youth Employment Program)/Internship Coordinator
- Facilitate the C.O.P.E.S Program
- CPR Instructor
- Assist with Sanctuary Training/implementation
- Other related duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- 1+ years’ of experience with cultural and recreational resources in the community
