Clinical Quality Manager (CQM)
The Clinical Quality Manager is an integral member of our clinical team, ensuring a high level of clinical quality in assessments and documentation. The CQM reviews reports, provides feedback to BCBAs, and identifies strategies for effective training and support. The Clinical Quality Manager collaborates with the Director of Assessment, other Clinical Quality Managers, Case Managers, Clinical Directors, and BCBAs.
Responsibilities- Review and provide feedback on assessment reports written and submitted by BCBAs.
- Assist BCBAs in updating their assessments to meet insurance requirements and gain approval.
- Collect signatures on documentation as needed.
- Report on insurance trends and update assessment templates based on regulatory changes.
- Track open authorizations to prevent coverage lapses and ensure timely assessment submission.
- Liaise with case managers when assessments are not submitted on schedule.
- Coordinate with insurance to resolve denials and assist with insurance calls and peer reviews.
- Meet with Regional Directors to report issues observed with assessments.
- Meet weekly with the Director of Assessment.
- Report updates on assessment trends and changes to insurance guidelines.
- BCBA with a minimum of one year of experience working within ABA and the insurance model.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to deliver constructive feedback.
- Excellent computer skills; detail‑oriented; able to work independently and manage tight deadlines.
- Dedication to ensuring the highest quality of care for individuals with autism and developmental disabilities.
- Strong writing skills, coaching experience, pattern recognition, critical thinking, analytical skills, and organizational ability.
- The Clinical Quality Manager reports directly to the Director of Assessments.
36‑hour general weekly schedule.
- Monday‑Thursday: 9 AM – 5 PM
- Friday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Work is performed in the office or remotely. In‑office candidates are preferred. Applicants must have access to a computer, internet, and reliable equipment. Workspace should be free from excessive noise or distraction.
This exempt, salaried position requires 36 hours per week, regardless of hours worked, the goals of the work are completed.
Physical demands include extended desk work, carrying up to 25 lbs, and occasional kneeling or crawling as needed.
Skills & Competencies- Advanced written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Reasoning ability to determine best procedures and practices.
