We are looking for talented nurses to join MSK's Emergency Center! The Emergency Center provides emergent and comprehensive patient-centered care to MSKCC’s patients, families, and staff 24 hours, 7 days a week. Patients are triaged/evaluated, and a decision is made to admit, discharge, or place a patient in observation status in the Clinical Decision Unit (CDU).

• Implement the nursing process for medical and surgical patients requiring intensive monitoring and nursing interventions in our Urgent Care Center.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to facilitate continuity of care.
• Provide outstanding patient-centered care to our patients and unregistered patients.
• Deliver care to employees who are injured on the premises.

• NYS RN license and BSN
• A minimum of 1.5‑2 years of clinical medical/surgical experience required.
• Critical care/ Emergency Department and/or medical oncology experience highly preferred.
• May consider New Graduate RNs with a preceptorship or externship in a critical care area.

• Willing to take action and eager to embrace new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.
• A good decision-maker, with proven success at making timely decisions that maintain high standards of nursing care within the organization.
• Actively seeking new ways to grow and be challenged, using both formal and informal development.

• An effective communicator, capable of determining how best to reach different audiences and executing communications based on that understanding.
