we are currently seeking a passionate individual for the position of an overnight full time care aide . In this crucial role, you will be based at the pleasant gardens adult home, a 26-bed facility which provides 24-hour supervision, personal care, meals, housekeeping, laundry service, transportation, daily recreational activities, and medication management.

responsibilities:

• administer medication of residents
• make beds
• assist residents to go to activities
• ensure residents are up, washed and dressed
• serve and cook meals and snacks
• change linens weekly or as needed
• complete laundry of linens and clothes of residents
• carry out housekeeping duties
• ensure presence of resident's personal hygiene supplies
• documentation of incidents in aide's book
• complete daily census
• adhere to cleaning schedule of bedrooms and all common living areas
• check rooms and common living spaces for safety of residents
• assist in other tasks as needed

requirements

• high school diploma or equivalency
• experience working with elderly preferred
• valid nys driver's license in good standing
• physical requirements: sits, stands, stoops, squats, walks, and moves intermittently during work hours, may push or pull 10-15 pounds daily, may push or pull up to 50 pounds occasionally, drive agency vehicle
• training in first aid and cpr required
• successful completion of annual physical and ppd

hours:

full time: monday-thursday 11pm-7am

location: bayport
