Overview
St. Vincent's Hospital Westchester, a Division of St. Joseph's Medical Center, is seeking a part-time (2 days per week) psychiatrist to work in our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team based in Staten Island, NY. This position is all in-person and includes meeting patients where they live and in the community.
ResponsibilitiesThe psychiatrist hired would be responsible for clinically guiding the team along with providing direct patient care. The ACT team enrolls up to 68 active patients. Half of these patients would be seen by the psychiatrist hired for this position and the other half by a nurse practitioner. Additional team members include registered nurses, social workers, case managers, therapists, and office support staff.
All team members collaborate closely together to help patients remain engaged in the communities where they live and minimize the need for hospitalizations.

QualificationsCandidates applying for this position should have the following minimum job requirements:
- Board certified or board eligible in Psychiatry
- Active New York Medical License
- Active DEA Controlled Substance Registration Certificate
