Location: New York
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Palliative Care Specialist to join our dedicated team. This role is tailored for a professional experienced in working with the medically fragile pediatric population, with expertise in end-of-life care and expressive therapy. The ideal candidate will use creative and therapeutic modalities to support children and families during some of life’s most challenging moments.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expressive therapy interventions (art, music, play) tailored to the unique needs of children and families receiving palliative care services.
- Develop individualized(图િઝ) care plans that align with each child’s developmental, emotional, and medical needs.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including medical professionals, social workers, and caregivers, to deliver holistic care.
- Support families and caregivers by offering therapeutic strategies to enhance coping and emotional resilience.
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and actively participate in team meetings to discuss case progress.
- At least one year of experience working with the medically fragile population.
- At least one year of clinical experience with the pediatric population, preferably involving end-of-life care.
- Child Life Specialist certified through the Child Life Council.
- Creative Arts Therapist licensed by the State of New York. (LCAT license required)
- Music Therapist with a Bachelor’s Degree from a program recognized by the NYS Education.

Music Therapist with a Bachelor’s Degree from a program recognized by the NYS Education Department. - Play Therapist with a Master’s Degree from a program recognized by the NYS Education Department and current Play Therapist Registration conferred by the Association for Play Therapy.
- Experience in expressive therapy approaches in a palliative care setting.
- Familiarity with evidence-based practices for addressing grief, loss, and emotional distress.
- Ability to create a warm and welcoming environment for children and families during difficult times.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
