Job Description & How to Apply Below
Allswell is a Medicaid-first, LGBTQ+ virtual mental health clinic serving Maryland, DC, and Virginia. We combine 1:1 therapy with therapist-led group care, healing-together models, and focused trauma interventions to make high-quality mental health care more accessible, affordable, and culturally affirming.
Our care model is built for people who are often left out of the traditional mental health system—and we’re growing quickly.
What You’ll DoAs a Care Coordinator, you’ll be the connective tissue between patients, therapists, and internal teams. - Identify and resolve no-shows and billing issues in tandem with the Allswell Billing Team
- Work across EHRs, clearinghouses, and payer portals
- Flag and solve operational blockers before they impact care or revenue
- Keep therapists and leadership informed of key patient or workflow issues
- Help improve systems, workflows, and patient experience as we scale
- 2+ years of experience in health clinic operations, care coordination, or billing (preferably telehealth)
- Familiar with Medicaid and commercial insurance plans
- Ability to verify insurance, clear understanding of copays, coinsurance, and deductibles
- Comfortable working across EHRs, clearinghouses, and authorization portals
- Extremely organized, proactive, and detail-oriented—you stay three steps ahead
- Clear, empathetic communicator who enjoys problem-solving
- Bonus:
Experience working in LGBTQ+ health or community health settings
- Part-time: 15–20 hours/week to start, with room to grow
- Required:
