** About the Position
** YAI has an opening for a full-time Social Worker within our
** Kew Gardens
** site in
** Queens**.The position at YAI provides the opportunity to gain exposure and experience working within the Queens Crisis Intervention Team and other professionals at YAI.
** Key responsibilities
*** Provide in person intake/home visits to assess service needs and provide needed services.
* Treats people we support with disabilities related to the areas identified in intake, such as, case management, behavior management, and crisis counseling in the home.
* Facilitate Parent Support Groups (In person).
* Participates in interdisciplinary care planning for people we support and their families.
* Participate in utilization/quality assurance reviews.
* Provide outreach presentations on YAI Crisis Intervention and other related programs within and outside of the agency.
* Perform responsibilities as they currently exist or may change in meeting the needs of the department.

* Education and Experience:

*** MSW (Person should be willing to eventually obtain their license; LMSW)
* Experience with IDD population preferred
* Spanish Bilingual
- Fluent (Required)

** Compensation*** $58,000 annually
