Under the direction of the Site Manager or Supervisor, Patient Access Services, this position is responsible for completing the inpatient and outpatient scheduling, registration, insurance verification, financial clearance processes, chart preparation, and creating the first impression of Kaleida Health's services to patients, family members and other external customers. Additional responsibilities include interviewing patients/guarantors to obtain demographic and confidential clinical and financial information necessary to appropriately schedule, register, obtain treatment authorizations and verify insurance eligibility and corresponding benefit levels.
Critical to this position is the ability to gather and record all appropriate information, consents and forms that lay the groundwork for the remaining or future fiscal efforts of Kaleida Health.
High School Diploma or GED.
ExperienceRequires 1 year of clerical experience within the last 3 years. 1 year of Kaleida Health registration experience within the last three years is preferred. Successful completion of data entry assessment required.
