TAG Med Staffing is hiring a Patient Payment Poster in Westchester County, NY, for our client’s medical billing office. This temp-to-perm role involves accurately posting payments, managing EOB adjudication, and maintaining HIPAA compliance using systems like Next Gen and Phreesia. Ideal for detail-oriented candidates with experience in high-volume medical billing environments.
Responsibilities as the Patient Payment Poster- Payment Processing: Accurately post patient and insurance payments in Next Gen using correct reason codes.
- Reconciliation & Reporting: Process lockbox deposits, balance batches, and assist with cash control reconciliation.
- EOB Analysis: Review EOBs to identify patient responsibility and resolve posting discrepancies.
- Credit & Documentation Management: Adjust patient credits and maintain HIPAA-compliant record handling.
- Workflow Support: Utilize electronic billing systems, participate in team coverage, and support process improvements.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; coursework or certification in medical billing preferred.
- Experience: Prior experience posting payments in a medical billing environment required.

Skills:
Proficient in Next Gen and Phreesia, with strong experience interpreting and posting EOBs. - Skills & Attributes: Detail-oriented, reliable, and efficient in high-volume payment posting, with strong teamwork and professional communication skills.
