Medicaid Coordinator

Sunnyside Care Center - Looking for a motivated, detail orientated person to work in a busy nursing home assisting families to complete Medicaid applications. The Medicaid Specialist will assist potential enrollees with the Medicaid application process, recertification and eligibility issues.

• Educate potential enrollees regarding the Medicaid process.
• Collect documentation and assemble/submit application packets.
• Follow-up communication with LDSS offices to track applications through the system.
• Recertify all residents’ coverage before it lapses (typically annually).
• Research and resolve Medicaid issues including provision of requested documentation within specified time frames.
• Maintain accurate records of members’ eligibility statuses and recertification dates.
• Be a community ambassador for the facility.

• You should be highly organized and a team player.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must.
• The ideal candidate will be able to build strong relationships with residents, families, and the government agencies with which we work.
• You must have the ability to work independently managing multiple projects as there is plenty of room for growth in this organization.

• A minimum of 1 year of Medicaid Eligibility Experience
