As a Direct Support Professional I (DSP-I) at New Hope Community, you will support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their home located on our Loch Sheldrake campus helping each person live with dignity, independence, connection, and purpose.

- High School Diploma or GED, unless participating in the Associate DSP Program.
- Ability to complete OPWDD training requirements.
- Ability to obtain and maintain SCIP, CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration Certification.
- Valid New York State Driver’s License and acceptable driving record for driver positions.
- Compassion, reliability, patience, teamwork, sound judgment, and strong communication skills.

Physical Requirements and ScheduleThis role requires standing, walking, bending, lifting, assisting with transfers, supporting mobility, and working varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, holidays, overnights, and emergency coverage as needed.
Hours:
Shift Work - 24 Hour coverage.
