Location: Queens / Bronx / Long Island Area

Job Type: Part-Time

Pay: $20.00–$24.00 per hour, based on experience

Schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays, with potential for additional days

We are seeking a Bilingual Medical Scribe (Spanish/English) to support a fast-paced medical practice at multiple locations throughout Queens, the Bronx, and potentially Long Island.

This role is primarily focused on real-time clinical documentation
, assisting the provider by accurately documenting patient encounters in the EMR.

The position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, types quickly and accurately, is dependable, and is interested in gaining hands-on experience in a clinical setting.

We currently need coverage:

• Tuesdays
• Thursdays

Candidates should ideally be available for both days.

Additional workdays may become available starting in November and throughout the week depending on practice needs, clinic volume, and the candidate's availability.

This position may therefore have the opportunity to expand over time.

• Document patient visits in real time during provider encounters
• Accurately capture patient history, examination findings, assessments, treatment plans, and procedures
• Assist with Spanish-English communication and interpretation for patients when needed
• Support provider workflow and help improve efficiency during patient visits
• Assist with referrals, orders, forms, and other clinical documentation as needed
• Provide light clinical or administrative assistance when necessary
• Maintain accurate and organized documentation in the EMR

• Fluent in Spanish and English — required
• Typing speed of at least 60 words per minute — required
• Strong typing skills with the ability to document quickly and accurately
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Reliable, professional, punctual, and detail-oriented
• Comfortable spending a significant portion of the workday documenting and typing
• Able to reliably travel between assigned clinic locations
• Available to work Tuesdays and Thursdays

This position requires travel between multiple clinic locations.

Current locations are primarily in Queens and the Bronx
, with the possibility of working at a Mineola/Long Island location
.

Candidates must be comfortable commuting to different assigned locations depending on the day.

Reliable transportation is required, whether by car, public transportation, or another dependable method.

Ability to drive is preferred but not required.

• Prior medical scribe or healthcare experience
• Familiarity with EMR systems
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Experience documenting patient encounters
• Interest in healthcare, including pre-med, pre-PA, nursing, or related fields
• Ability to drive between clinic locations

• Types quickly and accurately enough to keep up with patient encounters in real time
• Is bilingual and comfortable communicating with Spanish-speaking patients
• Is organized and attentive to detail
• Can anticipate provider documentation needs
• Is dependable and punctual
• Is comfortable traveling between clinic locations
• Is flexible as the practice continues to grow
• Is interested in the possibility of taking on additional days and responsibilities over time
