RN: Psych

Join our team as a travel RN in the vibrant Bronx, working in the Adolescent Psych CPEP department. This 13-week contract offers an engaging opportunity to support young patients with severe mental health challenges, including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and trauma-related issues. You'll work 12-hour day shifts, providing vital care in a fast-paced environment where de-escalation skills and patience truly make a difference.

This role is perfect for nurses with a background in mental health or medical units like MS, MS-Tele, PCU, or ICU- experience beyond ED is valued. Expect a mix of monitoring, medication administration (IM and PO), and assisting with crisis prevention, all while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and charge nurses. The unique setting combines behavioral health with medical stability, and no IVs are required, just your calm expertise to help maintain safety and promote recovery.

Your primary focus will be on early intervention and compassionate care, making this assignment both impactful and rewarding.
