Ezra Medical Center is a multi-specialty healthcare provider dedicated to delivering exceptional care to the Brooklyn community. Our services include internal medicine, pediatrics, dental care, physical and aqua therapy, and vision care.
What You’ll DoAs a Medical Assistant supporting the OB/GYN team, you’ll help patients feel welcome and support the clinical team throughout their visits.
Patient Care- Escort patients to exam rooms
- Take and document vital signs, height, and weight
- Prepare patients for OB/GYN examinations and procedures
- Provide a welcoming, compassionate experience
- Assist the provider during examinations and procedures, within the scope of your training
- Prepare and clean exam rooms between patients
- Collect and handle specimens according to office procedures
- Perform phlebotomy and EKGs, if trained and required
- Maintain clinical supplies and equipment
- Schedule appointments and follow-up visits
- Process referrals and prior authorizations
- Answer and route patient calls appropriately
- Assist with patient recalls and follow-up care
- Support accurate and timely patient documentation
- Follow Ezra Medical Center policies and procedures
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA
- Help ensure a safe and compliant clinical environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Medical Assistant certificate or equivalent healthcare training or experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good organizational and multitasking abilities
- Compassionate, reliable, and detail-oriented approach
- At least one year of Medical Assistant or clinical experience
- Experience supporting an OB/GYN practice
- Phlebotomy and EKG experience
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply
