The main areas of responsibility of this position, in support of the work of the ICSC and the Salaries and Allowances Division (SAD), consists in undertaking qualitative and quantitative analysis and research in all aspects relating to the salaries and allowances and benefits of United Nations common system staff.
The incumbent will provide substantive and technical support in all areas of activities of SAD to facilitate the attainment of programme objectives, carrying out the following:
- Develop independently, or participate as a team member in developing, proposals relating to the existing policies and levels of salaries, allowances and benefits of staff of the common system, for the submission to the Commission in regular sessions.
