Location: Watkins Glen / Montour Falls, New York
Pay: $35.96–$50.08/hour | Full-Time, Days | Preferred 8:00 AM–4:30 PM | Rotating Weekend Coverage
A skilled nursing and rehabilitation provider in the scenic Finger Lakes region is looking for a full-time Speech Language Pathologist to join its care team. You'll evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing disorders in a collaborative, patient-centered environment. - Conduct speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing evaluations for skilled nursing and post-acute patients
- Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable, patient-centered goals
- Deliver skilled speech therapy based on physician referrals and ongoing patient needs
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment approaches as clinically appropriate
- Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and outcomes accurately and on time
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment plans and safety strategies
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and rehabilitation team members to coordinate care
- Supervise rehab aides in accordance with New York State guidelines
- Stay current through continuing education and ongoing professional development
- Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology
- New York State SLP license or eligibility for licensure
- Clinical Fellows (SLP-CF) welcome to apply
- CCC-SLP preferred for experienced candidates
- Background in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, or post-acute settings preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
- Ability to assist with patient mobility and lift up to 50 pounds
