Job Overview

Sigma Health Rehab is excited to offer a full‑time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) position in a Skilled Nursing Facility.

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program
• Current New York State Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) License
• Experience in a skilled nursing or geriatric care setting is preferred; new graduates with relevant fieldwork experience encouraged to apply

• Follow the plan of care set out by the supervising physical therapist
• Measure and record resident’s motor function, strength, and muscle performance
• Observe and document resident performance
• Treat residents with techniques such as stretching, massage, and assisted exercises
• Maintain resident confidence by keeping information confidential
• Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements
• Maintain a cooperative relationship among the healthcare team
