Angel Care Home Companion Services is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team in Southold, NY. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who need it most — providing comfort, dignity, and support to clients in their own homes.
Responsibilities:- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients and their families
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean environment
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation
- Monitor and report changes in client health or behavior to supervisors
- Accompany clients to appointments and errands as needed
- Administer medication reminders in accordance with care plans
- Prior experience as a caregiver, home health aide (HHA), or personal care aide (PCA) preferred
- Valid HHA or PCA certification a plus
- Genuine compassion and patience when working with elderly or disabled individuals
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client homes in the Southold, NY area
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to pass a background check
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred
