ARISE is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide respite services to a young school‑aged, non‑verbal girl who uses an iPad, sign language, and other communication methods. The candidate will support her activities of daily living, including personal care, transferring with a wheelchair and Hoyer lift, and meal preparation. The individual is physically disabled and weighs approximately 115 lbs.; staff must assist with lifting and transfers as needed.

Behavioral redirection may be required at times.

Valid NYS driver’s license and reliable vehicle required. All new hires must complete a five‑hour initial training course online (training rate $17.00). Background check, fingerprinting, and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire.

Hours:

Part‑time, weekday evenings after 4:30PM during the school year and Saturdays. Schedule is flexible and will be coordinated with the family.
