A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Medical Biller Specialist

Position type: Contract

Duration: 2-3 months

Location: New York, NY 10037

As a Medical Biller Specialist, you will: We are seeking a Medical Billing Specialist to support the Revenue Cycle team. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical billing, claim submission, denial management, payment posting, and insurance follow-up. This position requires hands-on experience with EPIC and insurance billing processes.

• Prepare and submit paper and electronic insurance claims.
• Review and resolve billing edits, claim rejections, and denials.
• Post insurance and patient payments accurately.
• Process prior authorizations and document responses.
• Audit patient accounts for billing accuracy.
• Apply billing adjustments when appropriate.
• Follow up on outstanding insurance and patient balances.
• Generate Patient Balance Aging and Insurance Aging reports.
• Arrange payment plans with patients.
• Provide excellent billing customer service.
• Document all account activity accurately in EPIC.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing issues.
• Escalate complex accounts to supervisors as needed.

The ideal candidate will have:

• High School Diploma or GED required (Bachelor's degree preferred).
• Bachelor's Degree with 1+ year of medical billing experience OR
• High School Diploma/GED with 4+ years of relevant medical billing experience.
• Experience with medical billing, insurance claims, denials, billing edits, and claims follow-up.
• Hands-on experience with EPIC
  .
• Strong knowledge of insurance billing and revenue cycle processes.
• Excellent communication and computer skills.

This position is only open to applicants who can be engaged on a W-2 basis. 1099 contractors and Corp-to-Corp arrangements will not be considered for this position.
