We’re looking for a caring, creative, collaborative and reliable caregiver to support a modestly verbal young adult woman with profound autism. Occasional overnight shifts are also possible.

Pay: $25/hour during training; $30–$38/hour after training, based on experience.

Schedule:

Weekdays: 30–35 hours per week  Weekends:
Occasional coverage as needed  Overnights:
One per week  The schedule is flexible, and we can work with your availability. However, you must be available between 2:00 and 4:00 PM on at least three weekdays each week. Job can be full-time with benefits if applicant is interested.

Upper Manhattan

Key Responsibilities:

-Support daily living tasks with prompting (bathing, brushing hair/teeth, dressing)  
-Help with hygiene and medication administration (pills only, per printed schedule)  
-Heat and plate pre-prepared meals  
-Encourage independence and appropriate behavior in home and community settings  
-Engage in preferred and new leisure activities at home and in classes (drawing, music, puzzles)  
-Support during physical activities (yoga, swimming, treadmill) alongside instructors  
-Promote smooth transitions and use of behavioral strategies during challenging moments

Qualifications:

-Experienced with high-needs individuals (personal or professional)  
-Patient, proactive, and collaborative  
-Must be a competent swimmer  
-Must be able to drive and have a valid driver's license  
-Comfortable with occasional physical outbursts
