The Opportunity:Our Vice President, Senior Pharmacy Benefits Consultant performs in a primary client relationship role providing influential pharmacy benefits consulting for clients with the demonstrated ability to deliver results in a high quality and timely manner.

The Role: The Vice President, Senior Pharmacy Benefits Consultant builds influential rapport as a trusted advisor with clients and colleagues on both a strategic and tactical level.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Perform as the pharmacy benefits consulting lead on client engagements and manage PBM-related client projects and service delivery initiatives (e.g., proposals, market checks, audits, negotiations, contract reviews, etc.) as needed.

Design and deliver creative pharmacy benefit client solutions and plan designs customized to our client’s needs extensively drawing upon your strong relationship management skills.

Negotiate with PBMs on behalf of our clients for pricing, clinical programs, formularies, and pipeline drugs and strategy

Provide technical review and analysis of PBM data, contracts, financial arrangements and PBM program effectiveness.

You will be a key contributor in a segment of our business that is undergoing significant growth and viewed as integral to the Company’s client value proposition and revenue generation and growth activities.

Qualifications

A minimum of 12+ years of experience within a national benefits consulting environment providing extensive technical review and analysis of PBM procurement, market checks, financial evaluations, contract negotiations, and client-facing consulting. Or a minimum of 2+ in a national benefits consulting role combined with 10+ years of experience within a Pharmacy Benefits Manager.

In-depth knowledge of PBM providers, products, services, financial, data reporting, contracting and negotiating elements and processes.

Licensed pharmacist highly preferred. Graduate degree in a related discipline is preferred (RPh or PharmD).

Bachelor’s degree in business, science, mathematics or a related discipline.

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft products to include Access, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Strong technical/analytical and problem-solving skills with e ffective communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.

Self-starter with excellent communication and negotiation skills and demonstrated experience handling multiple projects and assignments in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Demonstrated experience applying generative AI to improve workflows and supporting consulting activities within cross ‑ functional project teams. Proficiency with Microsoft Copilot is preferred.
