Learn more ugahealth.org .Performs the primary functions of an Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in assisting with assessment, planning, implementing and evaluating the care of all patients, regardless of age, during his/her shift. Responsible for meeting the established standards of skilled nursing practice. Professional Graduate Practical Nurse collaborates with the care team, participates in interdisciplinary care, and advocates for patients.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Demonstrate effective time management, critical thinking, delegation, and prioritization while gathering, monitoring, documenting, and reporting changes in patient conditions.

Provide compassionate, ethical, and professional nursing care within the scope of practice while advocating for patient needs and safety.

Maintain clinical knowledge and competency specific to the assigned care area and complete all required organizational education within established time frames.

Communicate effectively and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate and promote quality patient care.

Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR), promote evidence-based practices, and participate in unit councils and staff meetings.

Skills and Experience:

Graduate of a Nursing Program Certification:
As required for your care area. May include: CPR/BLS, ACLS, PALS, Specialty Certification recommended

Must complete NCLEX certification examination within 6 months of hire Preferred

Pay Range Disclosure:

Standard Rate of $26.15 to 37.00 per hour plus benefits
