Stern Therapy Consultants is looking for a PRN Speech-Language Pathologist at Waterview Rehab and Nursing Center. Use your clinical judgment to address the communication, cognitive, and swallowing needs of skilled nursing residents, building treatment around meaningful goals for daily living.
What You’ll DoComplete evaluations to identify communication barriers, cognitive-communication difficulties, and swallowing concerns.
Develop individualized plans of care that connect assessment findings with residents' priorities.
Provide treatment supporting speech and language skills, recall of information, attention, and everyday decision-making.
Manage dysphagia interventions and coordinate swallowing recommendations with nursing and dietary staff.
Introduce communication supports and teach caregivers techniques they can reinforce during daily care.
Track treatment outcomes, maintain accurate documentation, and help plan for continued support at discharge.
$50–$55 per hour.
PRN coverage coordinated with your availability and department needs.
Unlimited referral bonus, with up to $1,000 per successful referral.
Collaboration with nursing and rehabilitation professionals, plus support from therapy leadership.
Active New York Speech-Language Pathologist license.
Strong assessment and treatment skills for adults with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
Effective interdisciplinary communication and timely documentation.
Skilled nursing or geriatric rehabilitation experience preferred.
