FLOW CYTOMETRY TECHNOLOGIST

Your Responsibilities

As Flow Cytometry Technologist, you will join the growing US laboratory of a global specialty lab business on Long Island, New York, supporting pharma and biotech clients with clinical trial, biomarker and diagnostic testing. You will have a hands-on and varied role:

• Processing blood and other specimens, including PBMC isolation by density gradient, cell counting, viability assessment and cryopreservation.
• Staining, acquiring and analysing samples using multicolour flow cytometry panels.
• Reviewing data quality and supporting accurate, on-time reporting for sponsor studies.
• Carrying out daily QC, instrument set-up and routine maintenance.
• Maintaining accurate records and working in line with SOPs and CLIA, CAP, NYS and GCLP requirements.
• Supporting both clinical diagnostic and research projects, with work that changes from study to study.
• Helping to train new team members as the laboratory expands.
• Contributing to how the flow cytometry team works as the site continues to grow.

Your Profile

• You hold a bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science, biology, immunology or a related field.
• Proven hands-on flow cytometry experience in a clinical, central lab, CRO or research setting
• You have practical experience with sample processing, ideally including PBMC isolation.
• You hold a NYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist or Technician licence, or are eligible to obtain one
• You are confident using flow analysis software and working to regulated quality standards.
• You are detail-oriented, organised and comfortable managing multiple studies at once.
• Experience with clinical trials or biomarker studies would be a plus.
