The Catering Manager is responsible for delivering world-class food and beverage service at Alliance Bernstein. This includes ensuring exceptional guest service, demonstrating extraordinary active listening and adhering to operational standards. This role involves coordinating with in-house culinary, internal and external AB clients, and maintaining the highest standards of customer service, cleanliness, and organization across all service areas.

Compensation Data

COMPENSATION: The salary for this position is $66,300 to $75,000. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities

Food & Beverage Service:

  • Deliver flawlessly timed & accurately placed services to uphold operational excellence.
  • Replenish all beverage stations & workstations throughout service.
  • Set up hot and cold buffet service according to HACCP standards.
  • Respond to guest feedback in a positive manner & react accordingly ensuring a favorable outcome.
  • Understand the dietary needs/demands of our customers & ensure they are effectively communicated back to the kitchen.
  • Impeccable attention to detail in every step of service.

Room & Station Setup:

  • Check dining spaces to ensure they are clean, organized, & ready prior to service.
  • Set up assigned rooms & workstations to service standards with attention to detail.
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness & organization in all workstations.
  • Complete all assigned pre-work before clocking out on any given day.

Guest Services & IT Coordination:

  • Ability to learn the basics of our Event Reservation System.
  • Facilitate all guest requests promptly & professionally. Escalate to management as needed.
  • Collaborate with the AB Hospitality team to provide support for in-house guests with non-dining related issues.
  • In conjunction with AB clients, record all pertinent guest data into profiles to enhance personalized service.
  • Work closely with & take direction from the Chef and GM to ensure smooth kitchen-to-service coordination.
  • Possess and apply knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, & procedures within the field.
  • Ongoing collaboration with peers & management, as well as continued training & education is expected.
  • Be willing to accept critique, feedback & demonstrate an open mind to try new ideas or shared best practices.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality or culinary degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in catering or hospitality.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, guest‑focused environment.
  • Familiarity with sustainability practices and IT coordination in hospitality is a plus.
