The OpportunitySenior Front Desk Hospitality Agents are the face of Sonder and embody our leadership principle “Extend Hospitality to All.” This versatile role is ideal for someone who loves guest interaction, creative problem solving, and delivering exceptional service. The role focuses on supporting Front Desk Hospitality Agents while also working at the front desk, in a fast-paced environment dedicated to delivering memorable guest experiences.
- Be the face of Sonder, greeting guests and working with team members to create an exceptional first impression at the front desk.
- Guide guests through the technology-rich Sonder experience, helping them maximize their stay via the Sonder app and self-service features.
- Anticipate and address guest needs in person and through digital communications to ensure a seamless stay.
- Handle guest interactions with high-quality service, own issues to resolution, and accommodate requests when possible.
- Collaborate with front desk staff and remote service teams to maintain service quality and ownership of guest issues to a high standard.
- Coordinate front desk tasks, prioritize and delegate work, and act as a point of contact for escalated guest situations when a manager is unavailable; assist with training and mentorship for Front Desk Hospitality Agents.
- Maintain maintenance, cleanliness, and organization of guest-facing and back-of-house spaces to support a welcoming environment.
- Support the back-of-house team with daily needs, including housekeeping quality checks, inventory, minor maintenance, and technology issues; support multiple Sonder properties as required.
- Assist market leadership with administrative tasks and contribute to continuous improvement in the guest experience.
- In applicable markets, assist with breakfast setup, service, and related duties, respecting HACCP guidelines.
- Experience in hotels, restaurants, or customer-facing hospitality roles; experience using customer communication software such as Salesforce is a plus.
- Personable, service-minded, and positive; enjoy speaking with guests in-person and digitally.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to guest needs.
- Good computer literacy and ability to switch between multiple desktop and mobile apps.
- Organized, hardworking, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or in a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible schedule and availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Proficiency in languages other than English is a plus.
- Regular access to a reliable smartphone for work (expense reimbursement available).
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between properties as needed (valid forms of transportation for work).
Pay: $26/hr the pay range is $46,517.00 – $54,080.00 annually. Actual pay within the range depends on factors including geographic location. Equity, benefits, and discretionary bonus may be additional forms of compensation.
