Location: New York
Transport Manager (Global Sporting Event)
The iLUKA Collective is hiring a Transport Manager to oversee the transport and hospitality operations for a Global Sporting Event. This contract role starts 9th July and ends 20th July 2026, working on a client project in the United States.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate on‑site operations related to host training and host game‑time operations.
- Coordinate the iLUKA host team.
- Develop a clear understanding of the Hospitality programme, daily schedule, team roles, responsibilities and expectations.
- Produce team and client documentation as required.
- Plan and manage on‑site operations.
- Establish effective operational systems for host team movements linked to other programme areas.
- Establish effective communication systems for the iLUKA host team internally and with the programme management team.
- Coordinate all designated iLUKA host team elements of the hospitality programme.
- Identify specific training needs for the programme.
- Develop training and operational manuals to ensure the iLUKA host team is fully knowledge of all procedures.
- Provide end‑of‑programme reports as directed by the Programme Manager.
- Manage day‑to‑day operations of the iLUKA host team.
- Prepare familiarisation training with other managers so the team is fully conversant with all aspects of the programme, including hotel, resort, event venues, excursion activity venues and gala dinner venues.
- Ensure training covers all aspects of guest contact (transport, sports venue, leisure, hotel).
- Prepare an Operations Manual containing essential contact numbers, local area information, venue maps, hotel facilities, excursions, activities, gala dinners, programme schedules and transport information.
- Fluent in English; additional languages an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Major event experience an advantage.
- Essential event transportation planning and management experience.
- Strong time‑management skills and ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to multi‑task and meet strict deadlines.
- Flexible approach to working hours and ability to adapt to a dynamic environment.
- Ability to build rapport at all levels.
- Proactive, positive approach and high reliability.
- Excellent IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Office).
- Leadership skills.
- High energy, comfortable working potentially long hours in a demanding but rewarding and friendly environment.
- Flexible, enthusiastic, confident and outgoing.
- Willing to roll sleeves up and get involved.
- Passionate about sport, hospitality and delivery.
- Ability to work calmly, kindly and professionally in a pressured environment.
- Ability to prioritise a demanding workload.
Location:
New York, NY. Salary range: $65,640–$109,200 per annum (US). Role reference and further details are available upon request.
