FOH - Host Person (Full-Time) – SA Hospitality Group
SA Hospitality Group is an Italian‑led hospitality collective based in New York City, operating 24 restaurants across NYC, Southampton, East Hampton, Aspen, Milan, and Palm Beach. Our brands include Sant Ambroeus, Casa Lever, and Felice.
Position PurposeThis role is responsible for welcoming, greeting, and seating guests and ensuring that their needs are met while they wait.
Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities- Greet guests promptly and courteously, ensuring compliance with management's seat assignment.
- Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with co‑workers and managers.
- Answer phones and provide guests with requested information and arrange bookings.
- Clear and reset tables, and assist with opening tasks such as cleaning flower arrangements, ensuring no fingerprints on door glass, and removing trash or paper from floors.
- Handle guest complaints and special requests when asked.
- Manage coat check duties—receive coats, umbrellas, briefcases, or bags, keep organization in the closet, and issue items based on tickets.
- Assist with other duties assigned by restaurant management.
- Follow opening and closing procedures.
- Maintain a professional demeanor with all staff.
- Assist staff with any aspect of service steps to satisfy guests (e.g., food delivery).
- Be available to staff and guests for reservation‑related queries.
- Follow service steps based on the service and training manual and communicate the same to all staff.
- Ability to work as part of a team and maintain personal cleanliness.
- Basic food handling, preparation, and cleaning skills welcomed.
- Strong verbal communication in English, able to understand, respond, and engage with co‑workers, managers, and guests.
- Time‑management skills and ability to work under pressure during high‑volume periods.
- Active listening and learning skills.
- Reading and speaking comprehension skills.
- Discipline to follow set standards.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
