Job Summary

Rapport is a specialised division of FLIK Hospitality Group focused on guest and employee services, meeting and event planning, and conference centre management. Working as a Senior Receptionist will allow you to engage with clients, guests, vendors, and employees in a friendly manner, ensuring a memorable experience. You will support the Reception Services Manager, greet visitors, escort guests, assist with conference room bookings, and perform a range of hospitality duties.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Reception Services Manager by ensuring every guest is greeted with enthusiasm.
  • Greet all guests/visitors and make eye contact within 10 ft. of entrances.
  • Engage clients with a smile and acknowledge them promptly.
  • Act as way‑finder and hospitality resources for all guests.
  • Assist in the check‑in process or escort guests to their destination.
  • Register guests in the building security system.
  • Escort guests to their destination.
  • Assist customers in booking conference rooms.
  • Review and memorize profiles of VIP guests expected for the day.
  • Welcome VIP guests using service‑excellence standards.
  • Maintain awareness of business activity and communicate updates.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and pass necessary information to colleagues.
  • Provide ad‑hoc support such as lunch cover and callouts.
  • Support training of new associates and complete checklists.
  • Participate in the cross‑training program covering all areas of the department.
  • Build and maintain relationships with employees and repeat guests.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Communicate issues to the Reception Services Manager and staff.
  • Understand client culture and key activities, providing transparency.
  • Know emergency procedures and be prepared to act in emergencies.
  • Follow the Hospitality signature look.
  • Memorise FAQs and know the building, surrounding areas, transportation, restaurants, and New York City happenings.
  • Stand and walk frequently throughout the lobby.
  • Lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Key Competencies
  • High School Diploma with at least two years of relevant hospitality or customer‑service experience.
  • Excellent organisational skills, able to prioritise and juggle many tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with Office technology.
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively in stressful situations.
  • Exceptional client‑service skills that exceed expectations.
  • Punctual, dependable, and dedicated to operational excellence down to the smallest details.
