Location:
Four Seasons Hotel New York – a Manhattan landmark on Billionaires' Row, located in the heart of Midtown near Central Park. The property, designed by I.M. Pei, offers panoramic city and park views and is a AAA Five‑Diamond and Forbes Five‑Star hotel with 368 rooms and suites and a reputation for catering to international and high‑profile clientele.
This role oversees stewarding and housekeeping functions during overnight hours, ensuring cleanliness, compliance, and operational efficiency across all back‑of‑house and public areas. The team will partner closely with the Executive Steward, Housekeeping leadership, and Food & Beverage teams to maintain Four Seasons standards and deliver exceptional service.
Occasional travel is required for training, conferences, and special events. The role will require 8–10‑hour shifts, with days and hours varying based on business needs.
Responsibilities- Coordinate overnight workflow with Executive Steward, Housekeeping, and F&B leadership.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, sanitation standards, and audit requirements.
- Conduct regular back‑of‑house inspections; maintain cleanliness and organization in kitchens, storage areas, and waste disposal zones.
- Manage overnight waste/recycling pickups and chemical safety compliance.
- Track maintenance issues via HOTSOS and monitor par levels for supplies.
- Assist with scheduling, labor management, and union contract adherence.
- Supervise the overnight team responsible for public areas and back‑of‑house cleaning.
- Inspect guest rooms and public spaces to ensure Four Seasons standards.
- Schedule and monitor daily tasks; coach team members on quality improvements.
- Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling and inventory management.
- Conduct pre‑shift meetings and manage coverage for sick calls.
- High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree in a related field strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years in a Sous Chef role; prior Executive Chef experience preferred.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; ability to foster teamwork.
- Excellent organizational and analytical abilities; able to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
- Working knowledge of hotel operations, safety compliance, and union guidelines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and TEAMS.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Familiarity with culinary equipment and sanitation standards preferred.
$80,000 – $85,000
US work authorization is required unless the candidate is currently in a managerial position at a Four Seasons location. Current Four Seasons managers may qualify for L‑1 visa sponsorship.
