BANQUET EVENT CONCIERGE (FULL TIME)

NYMM F&B Catering – 1535 Broadway, New York, NY 10036.
Schedule:
Full time Monday – Sunday. Pay Range: $32.00–$35.00 per hour. Shift meals provided. Internal referral bonus available.
This role involves checking guests in and out, resolving challenges, promoting services, upselling, and managing registration for banquet events.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Meet the group coordinator/host prior to functions, make introductions, and ensure all arrangements are agreeable.
- Read and analyze banquet event orders to gather guest information, determine proper set‑up, timelines, specific guest needs, buffets, action stations, etc.
- Respond to and try to fulfil any special banquet event arrangements; follow up to ensure compliance.
- Report back to the Manager on Duty any relevant changes to timelines, guest counts, or special needs.
- Complete registration/check‑in processes by inputting and retrieving information from a computer system and confirming pertinent data.
- Ensure rooms and services are correctly accounted for within guest statements and properly account for services provided by the hotel.
- Assist guests with checkout payments or charges; accept and record vouchers, credit cards, traveler’s checks, and other forms of payment.
- Balance and drop receipts according to accounting specifications.
- Provide guests with information about the facility, services, and amenities.
- Receive special requests from guests, respond appropriately or forward to appropriate team members for decisions and action.
- Promptly answer telephone and e‑mail inquiries; retrieve and forward messages to/from guests; retrieve mail, packages, and other items for customers as requested.
- Field and resolve guest complaints or escalates for resolution to appropriate department.
- Assist guests in emergency situations.
- Maintain adequate supplies and functional equipment at the Front Desk.
- Perform any special assignment deemed by the GM, Guest Services manager, or Manager on Duty.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Event Management, Hotel, and Supervisory experience.
