Location: New York
House Manager
An UHNW family with three school‑aged children, who split their time between NYC and the Hamptons, is seeking a highly capable and polished house manager to start ASAP. This is a full‑time opportunity, and the schedule will typically be Monday through Friday, with occasional later evenings and weekends required. The family spends the majority of the year in their primary residence in NYC, and July and August at their additional residence in the Hamptons.
As such, candidates should have their own accommodation in NYC, but private accommodation will be provided in the Hamptons (where candidates are welcome to bring their own families/pets to stay).
- Execute and deliver an exceptional guest experience with a consistent and elevated standard of execution.
- Quality control of laundry management, ensuring garments are cared for meticulously and never mishandled.
- Lead and mentor a small housekeeping team (23 housekeeping staff per property), fostering excellence and teamwork.
- Identify operational gaps and implement effective training to raise standards uniformly across all properties.
- Manage household inventories, restock essentials like groceries, cleaning supplies and other household items; ensure fresh flowers, curate flawless table settings and provide general support wherever required to ensure a seamless hospitality experience for the family and guests.
- Adopt a leadership style grounded in positivity, collaboration, and emotional intelligence, commanding respect, not fear, and building a team culture rooted in professionalism and mutual respect.
- Focus exclusively on service, presentation and team performance rather than eating or building maintenance.
- Impeccable attention to detail
- Clear and concise communication
- Outstanding management skills
- Demonstrated track record in high‑end hospitality
- US passport, Green Card or EAC
- Demonstrated history of longevity in previous roles
- Exceptional front‑of‑house sensibilities and a refined understanding of discreet, anticipatory, silent service
- Be a hospitality professional who brings a polished presence, a problem‑solving mindset and a deep commitment to creating exceptional, consistent experiences across multiple residences
- Must be pet friendly – the family has 2 dogs
- $200k/year
- Full family medical, dental, vision + 401k after 90 days of employment + unlimited PTO (to be taken outside of busy periods and coordinated with the family's needs)
