Sun Outdoors Association Island offers an extraordinary camping experience on a 65-acre island in Lake Ontario, New York. Located in the heart of the 1000 Islands, it's an hour away from the region's famous attractions. Accessible by bridge, the resort boasts over 300 spacious sites, including full hookup RV sites, charming cottages, cabin rentals, and motel rooms in the Ontario Lodge.

• - Provides friendly, quality, genuine hospitality to each guest. (Essential)
• - Greets guests, takes orders, prepares, and serves offerings in accordance to established standards. (Essential)
• - Demonstrates knowledge of menu and offerings, including dietary and allergen guidelines. (Essential)
• - Operates cash register and receives payment in cash or credit card, and accurately counts and provides change for guest, when applicable. (Essential)
• - Prepares food and beverages throughout the day as needed, anticipating, and reacting to guest volume. (Essential)
• - Works neatly, safely and under the sanitary guidelines of the Health Department Rules and Regulations. (Essential)
• - Follows recipes accurately while maintaining food and beverage preparation processes.
• - Completes food and beverage preparation assignment accurately, neatly, and in a timely fashion. Performs shift opening/closing/side work duties as assigned.
• - Stocks and replenishes food, beverages, paper products, and utensils as needed.
• - Cleans, sanitizes, and maintains amenities, per sanitation guidelines.
• - Follows sanitation standards including washing cookware and utensils throughout the day. Sets up/breaks down events and resort functions.
• Students may be asked to contribute to projects or tasks outside their primary focus area, including cross-functional or interdisciplinary initiatives. The organization reserves the right to adjust assignments and responsibilities throughout the placement to support student development and meet evolving operational needs. This may include, but is not limited to, performing duties in other departments or roles and completing tasks not originally outlined in the initial job description.

On Site:
No rent or cost for housing.

Participants will share a furnished, 3 bedroom apartment with 6 beds including a kitchen located in the center part of the Ontario Lodge motel. 2 J1 team members per one room with 2 beds. All J1 team members share a common space where they can hangout, Cook, watch TV etc..all team members have the required space and privacy
