Banquet Server

The Banquet Server is responsible for providing exceptional food and beverage service during banquet events, weddings, corporate functions, and special occasions. This role ensures that guests receive attentive, professional service while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality, presentation, and cleanliness. Banquet Servers work as part of a team to execute events efficiently and create a memorable guest experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Provide courteous, professional, and efficient service to all guests during banquet events.
· Set up banquet rooms according to event orders, floor plans, and service standards.
· Assist with table settings including linens, glassware, flatware, and centerpieces.
· Serve food and beverages in accordance with established service procedures.
· Clear tables, maintain cleanliness, and reset tables as required during events.
· Communicate effectively with the Banquet Captain, kitchen staff, and event team to ensure smooth service.
· Follow all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service guidelines.
· Assist with breakdown and cleanup of banquet rooms following events.
· Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to company uniform standards.
· Provide prompt attention to guest requests and resolve service issues in a courteous manner.
· Support other Food & Beverage team members as needed to ensure successful event execution.

Qualifications
· Previous experience in hospitality, catering, restaurant, or banquet service preferred.
· Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Must be reliable, punctual, and detail oriented.
· Ability to follow instructions and maintain high service standards.
· Physical Requirements
· Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
· Ability to lift and carry trays or equipment up to 25–40 pounds.
· Ability to bend, reach, and move quickly during service.
· Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules.

Work Environment Banquet Servers work in event venues, banquet halls, and dining areas during weddings, corporate events, social functions, and other large gatherings. (at Russo’s on the Bay and Vetro’s Restaurant and Catering. Work schedules may vary depending on event bookings.
