Job Description & How to Apply Below
Location: Town of Shandaken

Catskill Seasons Inn is a boutique hotel in the heart of the Catskills, under new management and entering an exciting new chapter.

We're looking for an extraordinary, hospitality-focused Bartender & Guest Experience Associate to become an important part of our vision.

This is not a typical bartending role. We're looking for someone who knows how to make a great cocktail, but more importantly, knows how to make people feel welcome. Our goal is to bring the entire property to life, from the bar and dining areas to the pool, lawn, and outdoor gathering spaces, creating a welcoming atmosphere where guests want to spend time.

Our bar is part of a larger boutique hotel experience: cozy, relaxed, community-oriented, and rooted in the hospitality of the Catskills. The ideal candidate is warm, attentive, reliable, organized, and comfortable wearing multiple hats.

You'll be responsible for our bar and light food service throughout your shift, while also supporting hotel guests, events, and day-to-day property operations. Our notification system will allow you to step away for other hotel responsibilities and return promptly whenever a customer needs service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve craft cocktails, beer, wine, nonalcoholic beverages, and light food throughout scheduled hours.
  • Assist with food preparation, including simple tavern meals, snacks, and breakfast service.
  • Help activate the hotel's bar, pool, lawn, and common areas through thoughtful food and beverage service, guest engagement, and welcoming presentation.
  • Maintain a clean, inviting, and guest-ready environment across the bar, dining, pool, and outdoor gathering spaces.
  • Maintain bar and food inventory, restock supplies, and complete opening and closing procedures.
  • Remain responsive to bar customers throughout each shift, returning promptly when notified, even while performing other hotel duties.
2. Guest Experience & Hotel Operations
  • Welcome guests, assist with check-ins and check-outs, and respond to guest inquiries and requests.
  • Conduct room inspections and routine property walkthroughs to ensure guest readiness, cleanliness, and upkeep.
  • Identify and assist with minor maintenance issues, coordinate with vendors and contractors, and oversee necessary repairs.
  • Maintain hotel supplies, amenities, and inventory, including ordering and receiving deliveries.
  • Assist with events, venue tours, guest inquiries, and follow-up on hotel buyouts and private bookings.
  • Capture occasional photos and videos for marketing and help promote hotel experiences.
  • Provide scheduled on-call guest support and assist with other operational tasks as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bartending experience preferred, particularly with craft cocktails, or a strong interest in learning.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for hospitality.
  • Warm, attentive, reliable, organized, and detail-oriented.
  • Comfortable working independently, multitasking, and taking initiative.
  • Willingness to support food service, guest operations, light maintenance, and events.
  • Comfortable using reservation systems, point-of-sale tools, and basic technology.
  • Reliable weekend availability and ability to meet New York State alcohol service requirements.
  • Craft cocktail experience is preferred but not required. We're happy to train the right candidate who brings strong hospitality instincts and a desire to learn.
Schedule & Compensation

This position covers 30-36 hours primarily Thursday through Sunday, with opportunities to expand:
