Position: Employee Relations Specialist

Reports To: Program Director

Location: 1720 Church Avenue

What the Employee Relations Specialist Does:

  • Assist in preventing, identifying, and addressing workplace concerns related to reports of workplace misconduct, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and other employment-law issues.
  • Assist in the investigation of workplace concerns to include conducting interviews, review of electronic documentation and camera footage reviews.
  • Assist in the management and investigation of client program complaints related to employee conduct.
  • Provide assistance and guidance to management teams on HR policies and procedures, to ensure compliance with CAMBA and employment laws and regulations.
  • Provide guidance to management teams on coaching principles, progressive disciplinary practices, and performance management issues.
  • Assist in the design and facilitation of orientation and professional development trainings.
  • Utilize HRIS program to document and manage employee files, to include terminations, disciplines, and compliance training certification.
  • Assist in the management of CAMBA’s compliance with federal and state health and safety regulations.
  • Assist and provide guidance to ensure Human Resource actions comply with federal, state, local employment laws and regulations and CAMBA policies and practices.
  • Communicate with peers in other CAMBA programs on issues related to compliance.
  • Prepare reports related to the scope of work and/or statistical information for both CAMBA management and funder use.
  • Tasks may be modified, expanded, and/or assigned over time.



Minimum Education /Experience

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. or B.S.).
  • Two or more years of experience in employee relations in a mid-to large sized organization.
  • Strong organizational and writing skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt within a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with objectivity, discretion and maintain confidentiality.

Other Requirements:

  • SHRM Certified Preferred
  • Criminal background check and professional references

Compensation
: $68,000- $70,000 annually

Status: Full-time (35 hours per week)
