We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Assistant to support accurate and timely payroll processing through precise data entry and system maintenance. This role works closely with payroll and HR teams to ensure compliance across union and non-union employee populations.

• Enter, audit, and maintain payroll data using Lawson, ADP, and Paychex
  .
• Maintain accurate employee records, including hours worked, deductions, benefits, and leave balances.
• Support payroll processing cycles to ensure on‑time and accurate compensation.
• Generate and review payroll reports for internal stakeholders and audit support.
• Assist with compliance related to collective bargaining agreements, organizational policies, and labor regulations.
• Respond to payroll data inquiries and process corrections as needed.
• Partner with payroll and HR teams to ensure smooth, efficient payroll operations.

• Associate degree in Accounting or related field required.
• 3–5 years of payroll, payroll data entry, or related experience.
• Hands‑on experience with Lawson, ADP, and Paychex payroll systems

• Strong attention to detail and high‑volume data entry accuracy.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
• Strong communication skills and collaborative working style.
• Experience in nonprofit or educational environments is a plus.
