Location: New YorkOur client, a non-profit organization, is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join their wonderful team! This position is hybrid with 3 days at their beautiful Manhattan office.
Job Responsibilities Facilitate hiring, onboarding, and offboarding of candidatesUpdate job descriptions and collaborate to identify hiring needsPost job listings through the ATSConduct interviews for new candidates as well as stay interviews and check-ins with current employeesConduct policy and procedure trainingsReview and process payrollPrepare payroll summary reportsEnsure payroll is completed in a timely mannerRecord and file employee relations matters and fully execute corrective actionsSchedule investigation interviews for employee relations matters in collaboration with HR DirectorMaintain employee personnel filesProcess employment verification lettersMonthly headcount and HR reportingEnsure all regulations are being followedManage DOH correspondencePerform other duties as assignedSkills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Management, or a related field2+ years of Human Resources experience in an office settingProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, One Drive, PowerPoint)Excellent interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to travel throughout Manhattan, Bronx, and Brooklyn using public transportation or a personal vehicleKnowledge of DOHMH and school-age programming (preferred)Society for Human Resource Management certification (a plus)2+ years' experience working in a non-profit environment (preferred)Salary: $65,000 - $70,000 based on experience.
