Position Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized HR Supervisor to oversee both our Staffing and Dispatching Teams. This role is critical in ensuring efficient scheduling, recruitment of specialized roles, and operational coverage across all service areas. The HR Supervisor will monitor team metrics, support high-volume recruiting initiatives for our temporary workforce, and work closely with field operations to resolve workforce-related concerns.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a sense of urgency, and excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise the Staffing Team, ensuring that all appointments and recruitment activities are completed according to established metrics and deadlines.
  • Ensure consistent and accurate updates within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Oversee the completion of weekly performance and staffing reports.
  • Lead specialized recruitment for skilled trade roles, including Handymen, FSD, Engineers, and other key positions.
  • Collaborate with the Staffing Team to recruit for open roles based on company-wide hiring needs.
  • Identify and highlight high-performing employees or candidates to the HR Generalist for consideration in filling permanent or internal openings.
  • Coordinate and participate in job fairs, hiring events, and new account onboarding efforts.
  • Utilize Online Job Boards, such as Ziprecruiter and Indeed, as sources for candidates.
  • Supervise the Dispatch Team and Corporate Receptionist to ensure all call-out and additional work requests are responded to quickly and filled with appropriate coverage.
  • Confirm that the Staffing and Dispatch Teams are terminating replacement workers in a timely manner, in accordance with union agreements and company policies.
  • Work closely and proactively with Field Operations Managers and Supervisors to forecast and resolve issues related to staffing shortages, replacements, or coverage gaps.
  • Develop proactive solutions to recurring coverage and scheduling challenges.
Reporting & Communication
  • Generate and provide weekly reports on staffing, recruitment, and dispatching metrics to HR Director.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with HR leadership, operations teams, and field managers.
  • Ensure compliance with internal processes, union rules, and labor regulations.
  • Support documentation and record-keeping standards for staffing and dispatch activities.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience, ideally within HR, staffing, dispatch, or operational workforce management.
  • College degree in business, HR preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong background in recruiting for both general and specialized positions.
  • Required experience using ATS platforms, scheduling tools, and generating performance reports.
  • Strong working knowledge of HRIS systems needed.
  • Able to cultivate positive working relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Knowledge of union guidelines and workforce compliance best practices.
  • Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to multitask and work under pressure with a strong sense of urgency and commitment to issue resolution.
  • Discreet and dependable in handling sensitive information and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); scheduling software experience is a plus.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in facilities, field services, or operations-driven environments.
  • Familiarity with unionized workplaces and labor agreements.
  • Prior involvement in dispatch coordination or workforce coverage planning.
  • HR certification a plus.
Work Environment & Schedule
  • Full-time, onsite position located in [Office Location].
  • Must be available to respond to staffing and dispatch needs during business hours and in urgent situations.
  • Occasional travel for job fairs, recruitment events, or field visits may be required.
