Salary Range: $50,000-$60,000
Location:
Long Island City, NY
First 90 Days onsite and then it would move to a hybrid role with 3 days onsite per week

The Staffing Specialist works under the direction of HR Management and supports the corporate and field operations team to manage the full recruitment and onboarding cycle for temporary facilities and janitorial team members. This position is also responsible for managing the applicant tracking system.
Responsibilities:- Interview, Hire, and Onboard staffing replacements.
- Schedule and forecast interview appointments depending on staffing needs.
- Execute the hiring and application process according to company practices and legal compliance.
- Handle/Coordinate New Hire Orientation and Onboarding by reviewing company guidelines, work expectations, rules, and practices.
- Processes background checks in compliance of company practices and client specific requirements.
- Enrolls employees in the time and attendance system (CTR) and processes activity changes as necessary.
- Monitors union card submissions and union dues.
- Interacts with payroll team in an effective and positive manner to process and resolve payroll related issues according to the company regulations and legal compliance.
- Elevates labor or client concerns to the HR Supervisor / HR Management team as necessary.
- Assist in operating the main operations department reception line in a professional and courteous manner when necessary.
Competencies:
- High School Degree minimum. College Degree in business or HR highly desired.
- 3 Years of prior administrative experience with a focus on HR/Staffing preferred.
- Spanish communication skills is a must.
- Solid consultation and interviewing skills, strong oral and written communication skills are required.
- Ability to work in a highly fast paced environment and operate multiple phone lines.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Suite systems.
- Strong attention to detail and a high standard for accuracy.
- Excellent leadership, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise positively with all levels of management and field teams.
- Self-starter able to work with a high degree of urgency and under pressure.
