Position: Associate – Benefits and HRIS Reporting
Location: New York

Our client is one of the nation’s most successful and well-run diversified financial services firms in the world. They have more than 2000 employees in North America, and in this role, you would have strategic responsibility for the benefits, 401k, and wellness programs. Our client contracts with an outside firm for much of the administration. Additionally, they are looking for someone who is a strong user of HRIS and excited to own many pieces of the reporting process.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily administration of 401k plans.
  • Collaborate with outside counsel to update retirement plan documents as needed.
  • Oversee and review 401k funding processes.
  • Manage monthly pension funding activities.
  • Administer health and welfare programs.
  • Counsel employees on health plans and benefits administration.
  • Respond to employee requests such as supplemental life insurance and domestic partner benefits.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for ergonomic requests from employees.
  • Administer workers’ compensation claims, including collecting incident information and filing with carriers.
  • Manage administration of HC FSA, DC FSA, and commuter benefits programs.
  • Update Wage Works HC/DC deductions semi-monthly in payroll systems.
  • Handle benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations.
  • Process employee terminations in People Soft, create census files for COBRA, and manage COBRA events.
  • Coordinate with consultants, actuaries, and providers for health, welfare, and retirement plans.
  • Counsel employees regarding benefit programs and resolve issues.
  • Participate in annual benefits renewal meetings and calls.
  • Oversee weekly Empire claim funding processes.
  • Manage all benefits-related data in People Soft, including tables and modules.
  • Create and test People Soft benefits tickets.
  • Administer COBRA ongoing processes.
  • Attend weekly benefits vendor meetings as needed.
  • Assist with the annual open enrollment, including system preparation and testing.
  • Conduct benefits testing, reporting, and auditing.
  • Perform non-discrimination testing for Wage Works and 401k plans, including data compilation and audits.
  • Prepare data for annual compliance reporting such as W-2 coverage data and manage retirement plan audits.
  • Distribute pension annual funding notices to employees.
  • Prepare HRIS data for 5500 benefit plan questionnaires and complete them.
  • Manage OSHA annual injury and illness reporting.
  • Administer ADP ACA processes.
  • Provide monthly COBRA counts for Met Life dental plans.
  • Handle benefits accounting and deposits.
  • Perform annual GL reconciliation for FSA accounts and process refunds.
  • Assist with employee wellness events and programs.
  • Coordinate the annual Flu Shot Program.
