Our client, a prominent organization in the academic and educational sector, is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator-3-days-Workday to join their team. As a Human Resources Coordinator-3-days-Workday, you will be part of the Human Resources department supporting faculty, staff, and administrative teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, proactive communication skills, and a strong commitment to confidentiality, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Human Resources Coordinator-3-days-Workday
Location: New York, NY
Pay Range: $30-35hr
Type: Contract (6 Months; Possibility for renewal)
Schedule: Part-Time (21 hours/week);
Tues-Wed-Thurs, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Payroll & Appointments: Facilitate the appointment and payment process; review all HR data for accuracy and completeness to ensure timely compensation.
Recruitment Support: Assist with recruitment tasks for faculty, administrators, and staff members.
Data Management: Create and maintain complex spreadsheets, databases, and tracking tools to optimize HR operations.
Documentation: Draft and customize professional appointment letters; proofread all departmental documents for precision.
Record Keeping: Organize and maintain secure digital office files and personnel records.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree required.
Experience: 3+ years of relevant HR Generalist experience in a professional setting.
Functional Knowledge: Proven experience in recruiting, talent management, HR administration, and payroll processing.
Technical
Skills:
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (advanced Excel) and Google Workspace.Core Competencies: Exceptional attention to detail, ability to handle confidential information with discretion, and strong problem-solving skills.
4–5 years of HR Generalist experience in a professional environment.
Systems: Working knowledge of People Sync/Workday
, iCIMS
, and Interfolio
.Prior experience in a higher education or academic setting.
